Safe Data Backup - Automatic backup utility for Windows
Backing up data is a task that should be automated. If you do it manually, you will lose valuable time or you might even forget to copy your files. There is certainly no shortage of backup software on the Internet, but most of them are too complicated. They feature wizards with too many steps to go through, complex synchronization options and so on. With Safe Data Backup it gets much easier to create backup tasks. The program makes the whole process straightforward and it can take under a minute.
The package is no more than 1.20 Mb large, so downloading it should not take too long, even on a slower Internet connection. Installing the software will be a swift process as well. There are only two steps to go through when launching the setup wizard.
The software's main window only contains a list, a toolbar and a few top menus where you will find options that are also available on the toolbar. In order to backup your data, you need to create a backup job. After clicking the New button, a tabbed configuration window will show up. Here you can select a source folder or individual files and specify a backup destination, set up a schedule for the backup job, compress the backup, encrypt it, set a priority and more.
When the settings are done, a new entry will appear in the backup jobs list. The toolbar buttons will let you perform simple tasks, like copying or deleting a job or going back to a job's configurations window. In order to run a job, simply select one and click the Run Now button. This will automatically copy everything from the source folder to the backup one. The software can also store the backup data on a CD or a DVD, send it by e-mail or upload it to a remote server.
Pros:
Safe Data Backup is very straightforward when it comes to backing up data. Even a beginner can make use of its interface.
Cons:
The remote backup feature is a bit hard to spot.
Make sure you will not lose any of your files. With Safe Data Backup it can take less than a minute to create backups.
